A grand historical event is going to take place on February 15, 16 and 17, 2012. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj will inaugurate a beautiful temple in the heart of Vrindavan - Prem Mandir, the Temple of Divine Love.
15th Feb: Kalash Yatra
16th Feb: Mandir Prakshalan
17th Feb: Pran Pratishtha
Prem Mandir is a unique monument built as a homage to the greatness of Devotion. In the words of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, “Love is greater than even God; therefore, I have named this temple 'Prem Mandir (Temple of Love).” Through its breathtaking depictions of Shri Krishna’s divine pastimes coupled with the display of Braj leela songs revealed by the fifth authentic Jagadguru, this temple will offer guidance and inspiration to countless souls for generations to come.
The foundation stone of Prem Mandir was laid by Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj on Jan 14th, 2001. Devotees
surrounding the huge excavation site to witness the event, felt that they were taking part in the spiritual
history of the world. Construction began immediately after the foundation laying ceremony. The marvelously carved
building with refined craftsmanship and glorious inlay work of semiprecious stones is a unique Divine structure
in Vrindavan.
On about twenty acres of land, the monument will be surrounded with magnificent gardens and beautiful fountains. On the walls of this double story
monument, pastimes of Radha Krishna from the Bhagwat Mahapuran, the true theme of our scriptures, the Vedic science of creation, the world history
and the unbroken continuity of
Bhartiya scriptures for over 1.9 billion years are depicted. The beautiful deities of Radha Krishn and their leela songs are also depicted in an
exquisite manner.
Several charitable activities will be performed during the inauguration. We invite you to take part in this auspicious occasion by contributing for one or more of the following causes:
The Cow has a great importance in Hindu religion. Donation of a cow is considered as one of the highest donations in kind. It is said that the Sun,
Moon, Varuna, Agni, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva salute the person who donates cows benevolently. In addition to the religious significance, donating cows
helps in uplifting the livelihood of poor families.
As a service to the Sadhus (hermits and saints) who lead renounced lives in Braj, a “Sadhu Bhoj” will be organized, in which thousands of Sadhus participate. These activities are an expression of the Grace by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj and an opportunity for everyone to serve the saintly people who guide countless souls in the path of Divine Love.
Vrindavan attracts a large number of people who have nowhere else to go. This includes widows who have been cast off by their families to fend for themselves. They live, as we say in Hindi 'Ram Bharose' - entirely dependent on the generosity of others and Providence, without a support system. We can do our bit by donating some of their basic needs that can take them through a year or more.
With a mission to improve the health status of the impoverished community of Vrindavan and surrounding villages, and provide them with a quality and
personalized medical care that is totally free and selfless, Jagadguru Kripalu Chikitsalaya, Vrindavan is being constructed in the land of Braj.
This hospital will be JKP’s third
fully charitable hospital in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.
Anyone who has run or been involved with social causes will understand that every drop, every penny counts. We invite all philanthropists to help give the gift of health and well being to others. Any donation, large or small, will be worthwhile.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 by Feb 14, 2012. Please lend us a helping hand!
Suggested Donation: $51, $101, $251, $501, $1001 or Amount of Your Choice
