Just for today!      

 

Bringing about a change within can seem overwhelming.  The road seems too difficult, and so most people do not even try.  They convince themselves that it is impossible for them to change.  When we look at the whole picture, we become discouraged.  So, it is better to tackle one day at a time.  Manage the change day by day.  Do it gradually.  Tell yourself....
  • Just for today, I will satisfy my sweet tooth with apples and raisins instead of chocolate and cookies.
  • Just for today, I will not speak harsh words to anyone.
  • Just for today,I will drink 8 glasses of water.
  • Just for today,I will wear a smile instead of a frown.
  • Just for today,I will do a good deed for a complete stranger.
  • Just for today, I will sit in prayer and control my wandering mind.
  • Just for today, I will exercise for half an hour.
  • Just for today, I will have a big salad for dinner.
  • Just for today,I will not eat after 8 p.m.
  • Just for today,I will control my anger.
  • Just for today,I will try to bring comfort to another human.
  • Just for today, I will follow my Guru's instruction.
  • Just for today, I will read a good book attentively.
  • Just for today, I will let my answering machine pick up my messages.
  • Just for today, I will go for a long walk and appreciate God's beauty.
  • Just for today, I will relax my body and my mind.
  • Just for today, I will not criticize anyone.
  • Just for today, I will count my blessings.
