Information for Attendees of Youth Camp 2012

Things to Bring for Residential Camps

Clothes to last the duration of the camp.
One set of old clothes to play Holi.
Traditional Indian clothes to wear during festival celebrations and cultural program.
Sneakers to play outdoors.
Sleeping bag, bedsheets and a pillow.
Any medication that you may be taking.
Yoga Mat.
Alarm Clock.
Strong flashlight.
Table fan, if possible. The dormitories are not air conditioned.
Umbrella.
Bug repellent.
Musical instrument that you wish to learn. (Bring a keyboard if you don't have a harmonium)
Water gun to play Holi.
Adults may wish to bring a cushion to sit on the floor during satsang.
Costumes for any cultural item that you plan to present on the last day.
Some healthy snacks in case you feel like eating something even before the breakfast at 8:30am.

Important Notes

Because boys and girls have separate dormitories, each family member should pack his/her bag and bring separate bedding.
Do not bring iPods, cellphones, gameboys, laptops, DVD players and other such gadgets. If you need music for cultural program, please bring it on a CD.
Bring and wear modest clothing (no miniskirts, spaghetti straps, short shorts).
Be prepared to follow the rules of the camp.

Directions to the Atlanta Camp

The address of our camp site in the Indian Springs State Park is Group Camp Road, Flovilla, GA 30216.
From Atlanta, take I-75 South towards Macon.
Take exit #205 and take left on Hwy 16 going East.
Go approximately 9 miles till you reach the town of Jackson. Hwy 16 becomes E 3rd Street in Jackson.
After crossing Park Ave and Benton St., stay on the right and follow the signs for Hwy 42 South.
Go approximately 5 miles on Hwy 42 South. You will see signs for the park.
Do not take the main entrance of the park on Lake Clark Road on your right. Go past Lake Clark road.
Go past Spring Road also.
The next signal is Cenie Road with blinking lights. You will see a gas station on the right.
Take right on Cenie Road and go about a mile to reach the camp site. Cenie Road becomes Group Camp Road.
