Toronto Retreat 2019
Published: Aug 20, 2019

Siddheshvari Deviji recently conducted the annual family retreat in Toronto. Every year, this retreat is held over the first weekend in August. The retreat was held at the serene and lush green site of Regina Mundi. It was attended by around 150 participants of all ages. The two-and-a-half-day retreat was an amazing journey in making new friends, creating new bonds and of course gaining extreme spiritual benefits. The days were packed with many fun-filled activities such as devotional games, philosophy class, keertan, nature walk, question answer session and much more.
Although Janmashtami was a couple of weeks away, but there is a longstanding tradition of celebrating this festival during the retreat. Everyone got a chance to rock Baby Krishna on the swing, do His abhishek and arti. Everyone’s heart was filled with joy and they danced to the tunes of “Radhey Radhey”!
Mealtimes were exciting as scrumptious meals were prepared very lovingly by volunteers. Everyone enjoyed soup, pasta, paneer, rajma, watermelons, icecream and much, much more!
Sunday night was the cultural program. Many participants performed for the pleasure of God and Guru. The audience was mesmerized by the Maan Leela performance by the teenagers depicting the loving pastime of Shri Radha and Krishna.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience for young and old filled with immense spiritual benefits. Many commented - "I can't wait to be back next year!"
