JKP Education President Conferred Honorary Doctorate

Kuala Lumpur, June 7: Sushree Vishakha Tripathi, President of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat Education, was conferred Honorary D.Litt degree by The Open International University for Complementary Medicines of Colombo at its 52nd International Congress on Saturday, June 7th.
The university, in association with the Medicina Alternativa, was formed in 1962 by the late Sir Anton Jayasuriya, hailed as the guru of alternative medicine the world over.
The International Congress opened with delegates from across the world congregating to present current research papers pertaining to integrated medicines and therapy and was followed by convocation to honor and felicitate scholars with degrees.
Ms. Tripathi was felicitated for her work in social development under the auspices of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat where she cares for complete rehabilitation and education of some 4,500 girls from primary to post-graduate levels at educational institutions managed by JKP.
She also oversees three hospitals that offer modern medical and hospitalization services to the poor. JKP's efforts have also been recognized in the past. It has received Rajeev Gandhi Global Excellence Award, Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa Excellence Award.
Mr. Ram Puri, a senior representative of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat, received the degree on behalf of Ms. Tripathi.
Other notable winners of the prestigious awards from India were M.G. Manjunath, Hemant Kumar, K.V. Vasudeva Adiga and Ganesan Ramanathan. They were honored for their business and social endeavors for the past two decades.
Ismail Kassim, a noted spiritual leader from Malaysia, was also a recipient of the degree for his stupendous work in the field of vibrational energy.
